Barb Johnson
Barbara Johnson
, is co-founder and Managing Director of Wicked Cool for Kids

She has extensive experience in curriculum development and program management for elementary school programs.  She has held positions as a middle school math and science teacher and as a science lab coordinator.  She has also worked as an instructor at Boston’s Museum of Science.  Barb has a Massachusetts Educator’s License in General Science, a Masters of Health Professions from the Bouve College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Minor in English from Merrimack College.  Her husband and two boys have served as the Wicked Cool for Kids testing lab, helping her develop kid-approved programming.

Tim Rees
Tim Rees, co-founder of Wicked Cool for Kids  In Memoriam

A former foreign language and ESL/EFL teacher in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.S., Tim also has many years of managing educational programs in elementary schools throughout the U.S. He has been responsible for program licensing, safety compliance, quality control, and staff development.   Tim’s educational background includes a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts, a Diploma in TEFL from Christ Church College in Canterbury, England, and a B.A. in French from the University of Kent at Canterbury.

Cindy Carrabba
Cindy Carrabba, Supply Manager

Cindy has been with Wicked Cool for Kids since 2008.  Her responsibilities include research, ordering, inventory, an distribution of supplies for the various art, science and technology programs.  She is married and has three grown daughters.

 

Jamie Rees
Jamie Rees, Program Coordinator

Jamie started with Wicked Cool for Kids in 2009 as an instructor and now handles the day-to-day operations.  She studied at Tulane and Salem State University, majoring in Theatre Arts.  Jamie spent many years working for regional theatres before discovering her love of teaching thanks to Wicked Cool’s awesome art curriculum.  She loves Legos, Minecraft, and the England National Soccer Team.

Chris Pedro
Chris Pedro, Education Coordinator

Chris started working for Wicked Cool for Kids in 2009 as a summer program instructor.  He has also worked as an after school science teacher.  Chris studied at UMass Amherst and is an experienced educator focused on working with special needs students.  He  is also a soccer and track coach.  Chris lives on the North Shore of Boston.
